The short version

We don't need your name, phone, address, ID or immigration status, and we ask you to remove them before uploading. We delete your resume and drafts 30 days after we deliver your final files. Stripe handles payments. We never see your card details. We never sell your information.

What we collect

Your resume content: your work history, education and skills, with your personal details removed.
Your job goals: the job you want and the area you're looking in.
Your answers to our follow-up questions about your experience.
Your email address, only when you buy, so we can send your receipt and delivery link.
Basic website data, such as pages visited and device type. [CONFIRM which analytics and advertising tools you use, such as the Meta Pixel.]

What we don't collect

We don't ask for your name, phone number, home address, photo, age, marital status, nationality, immigration status, Social Insurance Number or any ID. If you leave personal details in your resume by mistake, our system automatically replaces them with placeholders before your resume is processed.

How we use it

To score your resume and create your Canadian-format documents.
To send your receipt, files and messages about your order.
To answer your questions and handle billing.
To improve our website and measure our advertising, using non-identifying data.

Who we share it with

We only share information with the service providers we need to run CanadaReady, under contracts that require them to protect it:

Stripe, to process payments.
[HOSTING PROVIDER], to run our website and store files.

How long we keep it

Your resume, answers and drafts: deleted 30 days after we deliver your final files.
Your email address: deleted 30 days after delivery, except where it's part of a payment record.
Payment records: kept for as long as Canadian tax law requires. [CONFIRM with your accountant.]

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it at any time. Email [privacy@getcanadaready.ca] or use the Contact page and choose "Delete my data". If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
